Face in Journalism

Think of the word "face" as the face of something. For example, a man, who was beaten up badly by a partner, can be the face of domestic violence against men.


Here's Don Murray's definition:

"A news story that is told in terms of an individual person -- the crime wave that is described in the terms of a single victim."
